Topo Athletic is known for trail running shoes that have a wide forefoot, snug midfoot and secure heel. The Women's Topo MTN Racer 2 brings the Topo fit together with a 5mm drop, Zip Foam midsole and Vibram Megagrip outsole. The MTN 2 Racer has a tri-layer midsole which includes their proprietary Zip Foam material making this trail runner highly responsive at 25mm of forefoot stack while remaining durable and cushioned. A TPU heel counter was placed into the heel providing runners increased stability on technical downhills. Compared to the original MTN Racer the upper has been replaced with a more elastic upper that hugs the midfoot and heel without feeling stiff.

• Vibram Megagrip Outsole

Vibram created this rubber compound to perform in extreme conditions and that’s why Topo Athletic placed it on to their Women's MTN Racer 2. This compound formed into a 5mm lug pattern means that the nastiest wet and slick terrain can be handled with confidence. The tread is spaced in a manner that allows debris to escape as opposed to accumulating on the outsole.

• Zip Foam

A blended EVA and TPU foam that has a nice blend of softness, bounce and durability. This is what allows the Women's MTN Racer 2 to work well for easy, uptempo and long distance outings on trial.
